It's totally like 1:30 am and school is cancelled because it's still flooded outside. I've only been to school once this week BUT I get the wear the better uniform (I have two left for this week and one of them needs to be accompanied by a bobby pin to prevent my "goods" from showing. lols, what "goods"? amirite.) HOWEVER.... when school resumes on Thursday (hopefully), it's my commuting day. hehhhh. I'm always late or speed walking through the School of Pharmacy to get to my first class on time. I take the LRT even though I'm just a jeep away from CEU. It's faster but I'm always more likely to fall on someone because I'm such a weenie since I need something to grasp like the metal bar.
Wellllllllll, I guess it's just going to be me, myself and I in this little blog since I don't feel comfortable giving people the link to a new post I write on here anymore. I guess I do have insecurities afterall. Or I mean, I guess I'm finally embracing it. I've been working on getting my food blog started up recently and things are going pretty smooth. I just hope that this thing won't be like my other projects that didn't last very long. I'm hoping that blogging will be something I can stick with. It's not really like me to keep doing something for a long time if I feel like I'm getting absolutely nowhere; And I don't think I'm the only one too. So far I'm getting positive feedback from Hunger Thoughts and I'm just thankful for that. It's fun going out and trying out new places and discovering new tastes. It's kind of exhilarating really; or maybe it's just the foodie talk getting to me.
This food blog is just one of the many steps I intend to take to get where I need to be. It's a long story and I won't share it because I'm still trying to sort it out in my head. But I'll try my best to explain: This food blog is on my list of things I want to accomplish. It would be pretty awesome to have a fan base here in the Philippines because I've always dreamed of opening up my own awesome restaurant or bakery/cafe. I think I'm more on the cafe because a restaurant would require a lot more schooling. Plus I love baking more I think than cooking now. huhuhu. But I am obsessed with the old family tradition of "Taco Tuesdays" because I named it. lol. OH GAWD I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING. I shall open up a Mexican restaurant titled "Taco Tuesdays". maybeeeeeee.
But in all in all, I want to finish my Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, go to Medical School (fingers still crossed for UST), hopefully join the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery's Women's soccer team, graduate, complete my residency overseas (either back in the US in California or in Australia or New Zealand.) and finally start working. I really want to live in California because the weather there is just amazing. I do like Napa Valley, San Diego, Sacramento, Los Angeles. Oh the choices. But I do want to save up enough money to get a place to live there after I find work closer to home in AZ. THEN, I can open up my awesome restaurant. OMG, "Taco Tuesdays". Oh yes. This is sooooo happening. I just need to have faith, work hard and believe in myself.

Make-up Collection: Part 2
Make-up Collection Part 1 if you haven't seen it yet. ;)
lipstick from The Body Shop (I don't know the color. lol, sorry)
So this is basically the only lipstick I actually use. It's basically one of those "my lips but better" kind of a lipstick. I like the formula of this because it stays on and it really moisturizes my lips. Yay!
E.L.F cover everything concealer
I just purchased this recently since I was running low on my elf concealer and school was coming up fast. I trust in e.l.f products. They're very cheap but really good quality. This was under 200 pesos!
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
When I first started getting into make-up, I didn't know what prep/priming was. This thing is truly amazing. I've had this for 2 years already and I actually use it almost everyday. Before it was everyday actually. Everyone should use an eye-shadow primer.
Red lipstick by Love and Beauty from Forever 21
I don't use this. I was into purchasing red lipstick because I felt like I was of age to start wearing it. Since I'm in college I should be wearing lipstick. It's just a thing you do when you get older.
P.S: I got lazy again and stopped placing descriptions. But if you have any questions about these, just ask and I will gladly answer. :) Stay sunny,

My Pre-Debut and Debut!
*Warning: The post you are about to read is solely based off of my experience with my debut.*
Once in a girl's life, she gets the chance to celebrate her coming of age. It's her time to shine and show the world that she's officially transitioning from a child into a young lady. It's different all around the world for what age is acceptable for this. For most Hispanics, they throw this day on the girl's 15th birthday. It's called a "QuinceaƱera" after the word "quince" in spanish meaning the number "fifteen". For other people, they celebrate this day on the girl's 16th birthday. And as for the Philippines they celebrate this day on the girl's 18th birthday and call it a "Debut".
In my opinion I believe that the Philippines got this one right. 18 is a perfect age because a girl would already be in college or about to enter college and that in itself is already a step in becoming a young adult. So HOORAY! And of course my father wanted me and my sisters to have the chance to celebrate our own debuts Filipino style and what I mean is that we would celebrate it with family. I think that's the biggest factor in debuts or really any big celebration like this. You gotta have your family to watch you shine because "friends come and go but family is here to stay", right? For my older sister's debut and my debut, we did it the traditional way. 18 roses, 18 candles... the works. I won't spill the beans just yet but my little sister is having her debut June 2013 and this time we're opting for a change of pace. I actually can't wait for hers. :)
Here's a few pictures from my pre-debut shoot. These photos where shot by these people: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shot-and-Shoot-productions-Photo-Video-Service/110756252318620
They're really great and friendly and I actually love the quality of their work. I love photos like this to be honest and they really went above and beyond to make the shots look nice especially since I'm such a n00b at modeling. Check them out and book 'em! They're based in Quezon City I believe.
If you're going to have a debut (You don't have to have one if you don't want to. You're still going to be 18 regardless. haha), I advise you to think about it when you're 17. Even when you're 16 is good enough! You'll thank me later because the first things you should do before anything else is figure out who all you plan to invite/get a rough estimate and then find your venue. I went to Fernwood Gardens, Gazebo Royal and a butt load of other places. You must make time to find your perfect venue and make sure it's a place that people can get to and find. I got invited to a debut earlier this year and I had absolutely no idea where that place was. I should've googled harder though. Sigh.... WELL, do those things first because when I was picking a date (YOU MUST PICK A DATE FAST), I kept having to change my day because some one already reserved the date. Most of the time it's been reserved months ahead and shockingly even 1 year ahead. *Insert face of shock here*
*WEIRD STORY ALERT* I ended up choosing the Hotel Rembrandt because they had a debut package and the area was nice and it was sorta the midpoint for relatives to come. Well, it turned out I ended up stealing the spot of someone who put a payment/ reserved on my date. And my cousin just so happened to book it RIGHT BEFORE the client came to pay for the date. My heart was beating so fast when she told me that. But I was really glad we got the place because the ballroom was beautiful. :)
But, once you finish these things everything should fall into place better. Then decide your theme/motif, get a pre-debut shoot done if you like and then get your invitations made. A debut is filled with so many options. Don't let me limit you to all the choices you have. To DJ or not to DJ? Or get a caterer or no? Get live coverage of your debut or not? It's really all up to you, seriously. But out of everything EVERYTHING everything I'm telling you, this one is the most important....
Don't let this debut mess with your head. I know it will get very stressful at times but always stay calm and things will fall where they may. Don't force people into doing things they don't want cause...where's the fun in that? And also don't over spend; Please create a budget. Because when it comes down to it, the people who attend your debut is what really makes the memories. Not the photobooth or the color of your theme or how tall your cake is. Don't forget what this debut is about. That's the thing about actually growing older; You realize what's really more important to you in life.

Make-Up Collection: Part 1
Remember I said that I would make a separate post with my complete make-up collection? Well, here it is! I realized that I have a lot of nail polish too but I won't include it here. Maybe in another post but here we go! I'm going to have to separate these though I think because there's way too many pictures. So this is the first batch of photos I took.
(Also, I started to put credit on my pictures but then I got lazy because I had too many. lol.)
